Description

Releen Inline Foley Catheter is 100% silicone, has a radiopaque line for easy x-ray viewing, removing the need for dye.

Benefits

  • Integrated balloon, providing less ridging for easier catheter insertion as the balloon is in line with the catheter wall.
  • Short bullet-tip, providing solid tip for easy insertion. Gentle to the bladder mucosa.
  • Smooth eyelets - no lumps or bumps that crystal sediments can adhere to, which reduces risk of eyelets blocking.
  • Up to 30 days indwelling time.

Satisfactory replacement

I had to find a replacement for the brand of water for injection ampules I had used for years. After much research I found this Braun replacement to be quite satisfactory and at a very good cost.

Very effective local urinary lubricant and pain relief

We have used this product now for a number of months at the private clinic and it is both effective and well tolerated by patients. The staff are trained to use it correctly on both male and female patients, with topical reduction in pain when inserting catheters and carrying out containment and exploratory clinical procedures. Extra care is taken to address any inflammation or bacterial infection since the anesthetic effects reduce patient responses which can alert medical staff to any prevalent condition. Careful utilisation can assist cases where urine aggravates skin conditions with condoms and catheters. Cross infection must be expertly guarded against and all hygienic procedures followed to the full. Strongly recommended. The only issue is cost: why can this not be manufactured in Australia at a lower cost since the ingredients/materials are not that challenging to obtain, produce and market? The profit margin must be substantial for producer, wholesaler and retailer? An opportunity here for IP?
