Description

Flexible, Superabsorbent Dressing for Exuding Wounds

Cutimed Sorbion Sana Multi Star is a sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming superabsorbent wound dressing designed to handle moderate to heavy exudate while maintaining a moist, protective environment. Its unique anatomical shape makes it especially suitable for contoured or awkward body sites such as toes, heels, sacrum, and wound cavities.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Outstanding Absorption & Retention — Absorbs wound exudate vertically to reduce risk of leakage and maceration.

  • Gel-Forming, Hydroactive Core — Converts fluid into gel, helping maintain moisture balance in the wound.

  • Flexible & Conformable Design — Anatomical shape that fits contoured areas and allows comfortable wear.

  • Atraumatic Dressing Changes — Outer contact layer is smooth, limiting tissue ingrowth and easing removal.

  • Dual-Sided Application — Can be placed either side down for convenience.

  • Wear Time Up to 7 Days — Depending on wound conditions and saturation level (monitor closely).

Indications & Use

Cutimed Sorbion Sana Multi Star is suitable for wounds with low to excessive exudate, including:

  • Pressure injuries (pressure ulcers)

  • Venous leg ulcers

  • Diabetic foot ulcers

  • Surgical or traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention

  • Donor sites, fragile skin, dehisced wounds

  • Wounds over contoured body areas or cavities

How to Use

  1. Clean wound and surrounding skin per standard protocols.

  2. Choose a dressing size that overlaps the wound margin by at least 1 cm.

  3. Apply the dressing to the wound—either side may contact the wound bed.

  4. Secure with appropriate fixation (film, tape, bandages), allowing room for expansion.

  5. Change the dressing when saturated or based on clinical assessment; initially daily, then less frequently if conditions permit.

  6. To remove, gently lift a corner and peel off—adhered wound deposits often aid in soft debridement.
