Very effective local urinary lubricant and pain relief

We have used this product now for a number of months at the private clinic and it is both effective and well tolerated by patients. The staff are trained to use it correctly on both male and female patients, with topical reduction in pain when inserting catheters and carrying out containment and exploratory clinical procedures. Extra care is taken to address any inflammation or bacterial infection since the anesthetic effects reduce patient responses which can alert medical staff to any prevalent condition. Careful utilisation can assist cases where urine aggravates skin conditions with condoms and catheters. Cross infection must be expertly guarded against and all hygienic procedures followed to the full. Strongly recommended. The only issue is cost: why can this not be manufactured in Australia at a lower cost since the ingredients/materials are not that challenging to obtain, produce and market? The profit margin must be substantial for producer, wholesaler and retailer? An opportunity here for IP?

The waterproof backing is ideal and works . The toweling front could be more absorbent .

Excellent local anaesthetic gel for catheterisation, gynaecological and urological procedures

This gel, made in Germany, is very helpful in procedural therapies requiring catheters and other medical insertions. Many patients of both genders feel discomfort in these clinical situations and significant pain in some cases. Prior application of small amounts of this 2% Lidocaine Hexachloride gel, using the syringes supplied, in topical locations usually much enhances tolerance by patients within a period of five to ten minutes. In situations where tenderness and soreness exist some patients actively resist procedures- especially in dementia circumstances- and this gel usually reduces that markedly. Although a pack of ten is relatively expensive the minimal amounts required and the improvement in comfort outweighs cost while helping speed up clinical practice overall. A recommended addition to such procedures, as long as normal hygiene practices are followed and the work is oversighted or demonstrated by a specialist nurse or the relevant physician.
