Call a mate you haven’t heard from in a while. Ask how he’s really going, and give him time to answer.
Bladder leaks and changes after prostate treatment affect millions of men, yet so many deal with it quietly. We're changing that. Our team, led by CEO Michael Lakiss-Smith, is taking on the Movember growmitment. We're growing our moustaches (and beards) all month to show our support and spark honest conversations around men’s physical and mental wellbeing.

Some things are easier for a teenage son to say when Dad’s eyes are on the road.
On the drive home from training, “How was it?” might get you a shrug. Try asking about something you noticed instead. “You and your brother were laughing by the nets. What did I miss?” Then give him time to tell it his way.
Being the person who remembers a teammate’s name or asks how the maths test went matters. It tells your son you’ve been listening. When he does bring up something hard, try asking, “Do you want a hand with that, or would you like me to listen?”
Dads get a turn, too. Saying “I had a rough day, so I rang your uncle for a chat” gives a son an example he can borrow. This Movember, take the long way home together. Even if the talk stays on cricket, you’ve made time for each other.
A relaxed pub conversation between Michael and his dad, Rod, sharing their story on prostate cancer recovery, incontinence, and the mental health side of getting through tough times. Video coming soon.
